Story
Hello beautiful people,
I am doing a run...
...on Sunday April 28th I will be running the London Marathon for Crohn's and Colitis UK. A charity very close to my heart. In 2010, Alice was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease.
If you are not sure what Crohn’s Disease here is a bit of information…It impacts over 300,000 people in the UK. It is a disease of the gut, that affects every part of the body. The condition causes inflammation of the digestive system which can have debilitating symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhoea, anaemia, fatigue and many other nasty symptoms which can ultimately result in surgery. Despite a lot of research, it still isn’t known what exactly causes Crohn’s Disease.
Since being diagnosed it has been a rollercoaster at times, with hospital stays, blood transfusions, lots of hospital procedures and lots of different medications! Some days you would never know Alice has Crohn's disease, but then some days can be a real struggle. Alice always puts on a brave face and takes whatever is thrown at her. She is so strong (and amazing) that she fights this everyday.
Anyways this is why I am running for Crohn's and Colitis UK. They have always been there to help and support. They are an amazing charity doing great things to support so many people and ultimately find a cure!!! I want to help support them and do my bit...so if you could donate anything that would be epic and i'll love you forever (and maybe even buy you a pint)
Big Love
