I was once over 15stone (215lbs) and have lost more than 5 stone (over 70lbs). Due to my increased level of activity and fitness I took up running in March of 2011. 

I am running 12 full marathons, 26.2 miles, and one 30 mile ULTRA  to raise funds for CLIC Sargent in 6 months.

Every day 10 families are told their child has cancer. As the UK's leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is the only organisation to offer them all round care and support.  

• We provide free ‘Home from Home’ accommodation close to specialist hospitals, so that families can be close to their children during treatment 
• We offer free breaks so that families can spend time together, with the support of our care professionals, away from the everyday challenges of childhood cancer......and SO much more! 

 

All race entry fees and other expenses are paid for by me, no charity places or Gold bonds etc.

Other races from 5K to Half marathons will be done inbetween the marathons :)

Day 2  After 3 hours and 15 miles I had to pull out of the run due to back pain.

30th Great Barrow Christmas Challenge (Team of 4 Marathon) 6:47:47 Won the Team Trophy!
