Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. We are wearing pyjama's at work on the 8th June to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The Ronald McDonald House at Southampton Hospital is where Nicola and I stayed following Élodie's traumatic birth 2 years ago in Poole and her emergency transfer to our regional neonatal unit in Southampton the same night. We will always be thankful for this amazing facility. 

You get 2 beds, a shared kitchen, an ensuite bathroom and are a few minutes walk from the paediatric wards for as long as you need, all for £25.00 deposit (which is optional to donate at the end of your stay meaning that you could walk away paying absolutely nothing).

Without this house, Nicola and I would have had to travel for two hours every single day to visit our critically ill baby girl . But instead, we got to sleep minutes away from her for her entire stay (some families we met had lived there for months). Being able to visit any time, and for Nicola to express by her cot side in the middle of the night and help care for her, was priceless to us and in my mind critical to our bonding and healing process and our mental health. Keeping our little family together at this critical time was invaluable.
