Hi there, 

As most of you who know Affia, you will be aware of how much she loves her incredibly long mane of hair. However, at 9yrs old she has made the big decision to cut it all off to collarbone/chest level (about 11 inches!)  and donate it to The Princess Trust. Those of you who know Affia well, will already know how generous and kindhearted she is and how she never asks for anything (including at Christmas!!)

This year however, alongside her cutting her hair she is asking for a small £1 donation from all her friends and family so that she can send a much needed donation in to a charity called Maggies located in Southampton General Hospital who help support families and patients going through cancer they really are some of the best heroes in the land and they provide this service completely free of charge! 

Our family unfortunately knows first hand how harrowing and emotional it is to be diagnosed with cancer and Affia believes that if she can help a little girl feel like herself again with a wig made from her hair then that would be the best gift she could give. 

A quote from Affia “Nanny has cancer and when she was bald she didn’t look like her but now she has small hair it looks more like nanny and if children who are poorly feel the same then I can help them with my hair. They can look in the mirror and think ‘Oh there’s me’ I don’t want to put my hair in the bin because it’s nice and long but I don’t want long hair anymore so I want to give it to a little girl for her head. I want to make someone happy.” 

If you could spare even £1 to help Affia raise £100 - what she thinks is an absolutely huge amount of money❤️ - then I know she would be extremely grateful. We will post pictures of the big chop and of sending her hair etc off!
