Homes for the Poor
Campaign by 13 Rivers Trust (RCN 1161219)
We aim to help the poorest of the poor with monetary assistance to rebuild their homes or with emergency repairs as with your help they will have no shelter in the coming monsoon season or the winter

Story

Many of us live a fortunate life whereby we have a home, food to eat and a loving family to take care of us- praise be to God. But there are many men, women, and children who are living in hazardous conditions such as the foundation of their homes being built with only Hay & mud.

This Ramadan you can be the difference in transforming someones ‘hostel’ into a home.

Our Goals

1)      To provide affordable homes to some of the poorest people using economically viable and sustainable housing solutions.

2) To assist with emergency housing repair.

3) To construct an Innovation Centre that provides training opportunities for poor people who are determined to work themselves out of poverty. We will provide vocational training, educational courses and teach valuable life skills which can be used as a foundation for further development.

 4) To provide free health and medical assistance to the poor in getting help when they are sick and suffering from illness.

Sylhet Aid is run entirely by people who are passionate about helping the poor. We rely on the generosity of the UK public to help us carry out our aid work. Please contact us if you want to get involved.

I have pledged that if I can raise as little as £500 then I will conquer my fear of heights by doing...

The longest zip line in Europe and the fastest in the world!
