I have been given the opportunity to go to Malaysia-Borneo in February 2010 with the charity ; however I only have 2 months to raise my target of 2000 pounds!!

Just a bit of information about and why I am going.

is renowned for establishing project sites across different parts of the globe which aim to support the communities out there, and the environment. Borneo (the Malaysian state of Sabah in the South East of Asia) is now one of 3 locations that has dedicated its time effort and money towards, largely contributed by you, the donators.  

’s objectives are:

Advancement of education and global citizenship

Relief of those in need by reason of disadvantage

Advancement of environmental protection and sustainable community development.

This expedition is far from a holiday as it will involve backpacking and trekking for hours to reach remote destinations.
All the fundraising money will be going towards sustaining development projects within poor communities.

Borneo community projects are based in some of the remotest and poorest parts of . Volunteers work alongside the local community building a much needed kindergarten or maybe a gravity water feed system that will supply a community with a reliable source of fresh and clean water for the first time. However, it's not all about the projects; in the community phase it's about learning as much from each other as possible: language, traditions, cooking and many other skills

The community projects in include building kindergartens, libraries and gravity water feed systems.

is increasingly developing the infrastructure of Borneo, including buildings, trail development, bridge renovation, and overall improvements that will help the gain better economic and environmental attributes. An important aspect is that the projects done in are sustainable and make a real difference to the communities.

I'm going out there in February 2010 to help make a difference in less economically developed part of the world. I would be extremely grateful if you could help me reach my target in order to make a better life for people living in .
