Story
I will be taking on the London Marathon this year, aiming to complete it in under 5 hours.
I’ve never been an avid runner, until early last year, when I completed my first half marathon, taking on London Landmarks. I then ran a few 10k races to keep my fitness up.
It wasn’t until late last year, when I saw my best mate complete the London Marathon carrying an Oxygen tank. Growing up with him and having a passion to run the marathon one day, and then suffering with a lifelong illness call Interstitial lung disease (ILD), but still completing the full 26.2 miles, gave me the inspiration to take on the marathon to support the charity close to him. I was lucky enough to be part of his Oxygen Support team, helping with swapping out his Oxygen tanks on the route.
This year, in his honour, I will be running for Asthma & Lung UK as he will never be able to run ever again.
