Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 7th April I will be running the London Landmarks half marathon in the hope of raising money for Kidney Care UK, a charity close to my families heart. My nephew Olly (4 years old) and niece Etta (1 year old) were born with a rare genetic disorder called TTC21B, which causes both to suffer from stage 5 kidney disease. Olly was the youngest and smallest person in Northern Ireland to undergo a kidney transplant back in September 2023, and Etta will also need a kidney transplant when she is old enough. Kidney disease can affect anyone and there is no cure.

Kidney Care UK have been at the forefront of supporting people with kidney disease for the past 50 years, providing practical, emotional and financial support for individuals and families, whilst also working with healthcare professionals to improve Care services and campaign for change.
