Story

Hello, as you can guess from the name of the page I am Alex Lacey. What am I asking for? Sponsorship. But for what? Well let me tell you a bit about myself first.

I am Alex (already established) and I have been diagnosed as having Dyspraxia, but what is Dyspraxia? Well according to the Dyspraxia foundation "Dyspraxia is generally recognised to be an impairment or immaturity of the organisation of movement. Associated with this may be problems of language, perception and thought.

I am not very organised, I am clumsy, due to my poor coordination, all of which are partly to do with my Dyspraxia, however apart from this I am a fine person who can do anything.

One of the things I am is a very keen cyclist and love to get out on my bike whenever I can. Due to this passion, I have decided I want to cycle the full length of the Leeds Liverpool Canal (all 127 miles of it), IN ONE DAY!

With your sponsorship I would like to raise money for the Dyspraxia Foundation, a registered charity to help and support people like myself. For information about the charity and Dyspraxia follow the link to the left of the screen under Raising Money For.

I intend to complete between 24th and 27th July 2010, the best day weather wise. The direction I do it depends again on the weather, in particular, wind direction. However as a presumption due to our prevailing wind I am cycling from Liverpool to Leeds.

So please support me in this quest. Admittedly, it will be hard, however with your sponsorship, I am confident I will have the will power to complete this epic ride.
