We raise funds for musculoskeletal injury to help restore active lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am a lecturer and researcher in Queen's University Belfast and have been working closely with BART in recent years on a variety of projects aiming to improve hip replacement surgery.

I am running the Belfast City Marathon this year to support BART to help publicise the important work they have been doing in improving understanding of patient and surgical factors in joint replacement surgery, training the next generation of surgeons and researchers in this increasingly important area, and translating new knowledge from research to clinical use.  I hope you can support their important work by making a donation through this page.

Thank you,

Alex

P.S. The images to the right of my mugshot are from the research of two recent Ph.D. students (Megan Rutherford and John O'Connor) who were supported by BART.
