We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to stop women dying from breast cancer.

Story

I am running the Virgin London Marathon in memory and in tribute to my dad, George Adames.

Dad lost his 7 year battle to Breast Cancer over 16 years ago and I want to raise awareness to this illness as although it is most common in women it is also poses a significant risk to men, for which very few people are aware. Unfortunately this tends to result in the cancer being more advanced and harder to treat when diagnosed.

I was lucky (some may think unlucky) to get a place in ballot for the London Marathon which takes place in April this year and wish to continue my support to Breast Cancer Campaign.  This will be my hat-trick of London marathons and although this year there is no specific target I naturally wish to raise as much as possible.

This year I am considering dressing up so that I can raise more money and lots of support on the day so any costume ideas are welcome.... :)

Please donate any amount possible... every penny counts.

Thanks

Alex
