Fundraising for Young Lives vs Cancer
Story
Hi folks,
I have been roped into running the Edinburgh Marathon again this year. Already I feel much less prepared for it than last year and I'm not looking forward to the pain it will cause me. However, I am doing it all for a great cause. I'm raising money for CLIC Sargent again this year. CLIC is the UK's leading children's cancer charity who offer comprehensive support to families with children affected by cancer. It is a charity that is very close to both mine and my family's heart so I feel the few hours of pain I will no doubt endure will all be worth it in the end! In addition to the marathon, I will also be taking part in another event in order to raise money for CLIC. I will be running the Great Wilderness Challenge in August this year. Anyone who knows me will understand that I'm much more excited about this one than the marathon! It is a 25 mile route across the 'great wilderness' in the far north west highlands. I am raising money for this event too but unfortunately I have to collect cold hard cash (or cheques) for this one which is a bit trickier! The good news is that 60% will get added to everything I raise for this event so I'm very keen to raise a good amount. Send me an email, text, facebook if you would like to sponsor me for this.
