Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Myself and Ian White, will both be riding 15 hours on turbo trainers on the 1st May.
15 hours which is 1 hour for each year my Dad has had Parkinson's disease. Inspired by the current 2.6 challenge we will also be combining to spend 260 minutes at 260 Watts. Ian will be raising funds for Action for Children, a key charity given the impact Coronavirus is having on society.
There is no cure for Parkinson's disease.
It starts small, a tremor, a stooped posture but overtime it worsens and impacts each part of your life. Sleeping, swallowing, smiling. Motor skills become harder, you can't tie your shoe laces, hold your cutlery, you lose your independence. A 10min walk to town becomes too much as muscles stiffen and co-ordination worsens. Your mental health can also suffer, hallucinations, Parkinson's dementia. The future you may have planned for in your 60's isn't the one you get to live.
So please donate if you can to help raise some funds to support those with Parkison's and find a cure.
