I’ve decided to take on a new challenge this year in the form of an Ultra MMA fight on Sunday 3rd April 2022  I have 8 weeks to train and get fit, plus raise as much money as I can for this fantastic cause! 

My family think I'm mad (probably true!) and my husband just wishes I'd do a sponsored walk instead... But, you only live once so why not live it outside of your comfort zone! 

I'm raising money for Cancer Research UK who need our support more than ever in the wake of Covid-19 and I’m sure you will agree, the work they do is incredible. Many of us have been - or are affected by Cancer. One of my closest friends has started Chemo this month so my challenge is pretty timely. She will finish her treatment just a few weeks after 'fight night' so although she won't be there to watch, I'll be doing it for her. Friends do not fight alone 💪

As a mum of 3 who likes to drink wine and has never done kickboxing/cage fighting before... it's definitely going to be tough but I want to show my boys that you can do anything you set your mind to - however crazy or impossible it seems, you just have to be brave and go for it!
