I am running the Great North Run to raise money for the Percy Hedley Foundation, a charity based in the North East which raises money for disabled people with cerebral palsy, communication impairments, sensory impairments and complex learning, social care and therapeutic needs. This foundation includes two schools, a college and residential and respite care as well as support for the families of those that use the Percy Hedley Foundation. Percy Hedley meet the needs of disabled people with cerebral palsy, communication impairments, sensory impairments and complex learning, social care and therapeutic needs.

I am running the GNR especially for Chloe, Chloe is hilarious 5 year old with Cerebral Palsy. The Percy Hedley Foundation has supported Chloe who attends Percy Hedley School, which she loves. I am hoping that by raising money I can help more children, young people and adult receive support to unlock their full potential and to be as independent as possible. Chloe inspired a lot of people last year by walking the last 50 meters on the Junior Great North Run in her pacer, I'm hoping to do her hard work justice this year.

The more money I raise, the more children, young people, adults and families can be helped and supported. Due to the large amount of support those that attend the schools, colleges or residential and respite homes need, the costs that the Percy Hedley Foundation incur are very high. The money raised will go directly to the Foundation, they will then use it to improve the lives of children in the North East.
