As you may be aware I am running the Bath Half Marathon in March 2010 and at the same time am hoping to raise money for two causes that are close to my heart: Tŷ Hafan and The Hughes Sports Foundation

Tŷ Hafan provides a total approach to the care of children who suffer from life limiting conditions. These are conditions for which there is no reasonable hope of cure and from which children or young people will die before they reach adulthood. 

Tŷ Hafan is there for families as soon as their child is diagnosed and will be there to help in practical and emotional ways right through end of life and afterwards during bereavement.   It is a truly amazing charity, I cannot imagine (and hope I never have to) what it must be like to be told your child may not live beyond the age of 19 and for parents and families affected by such a diagnosis, I am sure they cannot imagine not having the love, support and care Tŷ Hafan provides.
