Planes, trains and automobiles - that was just to get to the start line! Connemarra is a beautiful and remote area of the West of ROI, and the perfect place to run your first marathon - if you're totally unhinged like I must have been!! Undulating is not the word, very hilly and mountainous would be more fitting.

None-the-less, Claire and I had a fantastic time and met so many lovely people during the race, and of course, we both cried at the Finish line...

We have been touched by the donations from all of you, and it made every painful step worth it to try and help the staff and patients at Cransley.
