Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My dad was diagnosed with mesothelioma in October 2018 and sadly lost his fight on 16th September 2020. Mesothelioma is caused by exposure to asbestos and unfortunately there is no cure. Dad was a carpenter and joiner and worked with asbestos while doing his apprenticeship in the 1960s. Before 2018 dad had pretty much never been ill a day in his life. I have read many similar stories of others who have been taken far too soon. Research is needed to develop new treatments to help those affected by this cruel disease. I've decided to start with a challenge of running 40k in February to help raise money. Donations however small will be greatly appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
