Alison lived with brain cancer from when it was diagnosed just before her GCSE exams to a few months after her 27th birthday. She lived well. 

Her brother Alex moved in with and looked after Alison during her last months. He cared for her with deep love, humour and sensitivity.

Alison was kept comfortable and could end her life in her own home thanks to the great care she received. This was due in large part to the role Dorothy House staff had in advising and coordinating this care.

Because Alison was comfortable we could all make the most of our time together. This was so important to us.
