We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

Yes there is a reason I have been wandering around in lycra over the last few months.  On 10 September I will be starting my attempt to cycle from London to Paris over 4 days.

I am cycling to raise funds for The Prostate Cancer Charity.  My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer just over two years ago and he has just celebrated his 60th birthday.  I was lucky enough to benefit from the services The Prostate Cancer Charity offers, particularly the UK cancer helpline, at a time when I needed it most.  As a result, despite my inability to cycle uphill for any length of time (I am working on that), I am keen to support their work in any way that I can.

I will be sharing this "experience" with my very good friend Judith Harris.  Judith is cycling to raise funds for C-R-Y - Cardiac Risk in the Young.  You can find a link to Judith's fundraising page here: http://www.justgiving.com/judecyclestoparis

In case you thought you were paying for me to go on holiday all of the money raised through this site will go directly to The Prostate Cancer Charity as I have paid for the cost of the trip myself.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.  Thats an extra 28% on top at no cost to you.

Thanks so much for your support.
