YBTC....Our vision is clear and simple: to cure a devastating disease that affects so many people.Around 9,000 new cases of primary brain tumours are diagnosed in the UK every year, with 15 people each week in Yorkshire receiving this diagnosis. Whilst we are working to find a cure, we will provide the best patient and family support network we can, for as long as we are needed. Through our Support Service in 2019; 171 people received direct support from YBTC: 107 patients and 64 relatives - of whom 35 are bereaved. There were 437 phone calls to our support line and 210 counselling sessions held - including 75 which were bereavement support. We helped provide 35 patient grants worth £17,500.We also ran 10 Support Group sessions for patients and relatives and hosted 43 Christmas meals!
