Dougie Mac runners for London Marathon 2023

Story

My dad was such a special person to me and everyone who knew him.  He really was one in a million and so when he passed away a few days ago, I wanted to repay the amazing nurses who cared for him during the last few days of his life.  They have been described previously as angels in uniform and I totally agree. I am therefore wanting to raise as much money as possible for the Dougie Mac so that others who find themselves in the same situation can receive such wonderful care.

When I received the email from London Marathon confirming I had a place, I was so thrilled although I was concerned about telling dad as he always worried that I try to do too much - typical of the caring, loving dad he was.  However this time, he was delighted and so excited for me and he will be in my thoughts as I run the 26.2 miles through the streets of London on 23rd April.

I know that times are hard but any donation you can give, no matter what the size will be very gratefully received and will motivate me throughout the weeks of training which lay ahead of me.
