At Sanper, we take mental health issues extremely seriously, in an industry where historically from the ground and up throughout the construction hierarchy it has been ridiculed and belittled.

Men in the UK are three time more likely to die by suicide than women. In construction - a male dominated industry - men are three time more likely to die by suicide than the national average for men.

The industry has a variety of pressures from tight contracts to long hours, time away from loved-ones and managing budgets, not to mention the added stress of the pandemic and loss of staff through Covid isolations and now the rising costs of supplies. Additionally, within construction lie a "macho" culture which prevents many workers from seeking support and help when they may need it, putting further stress on their own mental health and wellbeing. 

We have decided to raise money and awareness for the mental health charity MIND. We are looking for sponsorship's towards a collective team Tough Mudder even on the 24th September 2022. 

This is going to be a real struggle for a few of us to dust of the cobwebs and give this a real go!
