We deliver quality and relevant education to assist disadvantaged South African youth

Story

It's that time again where I have decided to do something a little insane, and this will be my biggest challenge to date! (cycling 200k seems nothing to this…)

I will be climbing up to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro with 10 incredible people, to raise money for the fantastic charity Education Africa.

To put this in perspective Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the world at 19,341 feet! We will spend 5 days climbing to the summit through 4 distinct climate zones, camping each night in temperatures well below freezing.

This will be a real test of endurance and commitment and I really do hope you can support me and the charity on this incredible adventure.

Education Africa's aims for an educated nation, which in turn will lead to a progressive nation that is in a position to sustain economic growth.

Established in 1992, Education Africa strives to reach and uplift the poorest of the poor. We aim to assist disadvantaged South Africans in their quest to obtain a quality, relevant education in order to ensure that they are in a position to become global citizens and a competitive, productive element in the local job market.

Their projects include:

Walter Sisulu Scholarship Fund

To honour the great friendship and support the late Walter Sisulu showed Education frica, and the invaluable contribution made to the country, the Walter Sisulu Fund in 1995.

The Unisa Programmes

Education Africa, in partnership with UNISA, has developed two programmes for tertiary education to help develop future business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Social Architecture

Architectural students from intemational universities come to South Africa to design and construct pre-schools, skills centres and facilities for the disabled in the impoverished regions of South Africa.

Masibambane College

Masibambane College, situated in the impoverished community of Orange Farm, is an Anglican Diocesan school built and supported by Education Africa and St John's College.

Cycle Aid for Africa

Cycle Aid for Africa is a hugely successful Education Africa project that distributes mountain bikes and equipment to under-resourced schools, improving the quality of life of many of these disadvantaged children.

Projects worthy of immense support and donation to help support their continued growth, reach and the positive life changing impact that they have on peoples lives.

About the charity

Education Africa are bringing a group of township children over from South Africa on a Marimba Tour. They will be performing at a number of events - giving them the confidence to succeed in life, and opening the eyes of children here to life in a township. Please help us to fund this tour.
