Story
I am abseiling down Coventry Cathedral in aid of The Myton Hospices to help them raise £35,000. This will help ensure The Myton Hospices can continue to provide our services free of charge to people with a terminal or life limit. At The Myton Hospices they believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. They are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on our patients and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give them more quality time with their loved ones. In the last 12 months, they have worked with and supported more than 1,800 people and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire. This is in their hospices, via their patient and family support services and in the community through Myton at Home. They have to raise £9.2 million each year to continue providing their care free of charge. They cant do it without people like me and you.
On the 7th March, 2 days after my 17th birthday, I will be abseiling down Coventry Cathedral Spire for Myton Hospice in memory of my wonderful Grandad, who passed away in August 2019. The care he received at Myton Hospice in his last days was outstanding; providing support for him in a relaxed, caring environment. I’m giving back to this amazing charity to enable them to provide care like this to more people, so they can receive the same support my Grandad did. Thanks for helping me to support this fantastic charity! Xx
