Fundraising for Parkinson’s UK
Story
Hello everyone,
We did it!!
Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored and supported me on my mini adventure! I am absolutely delighted with the amount raised for PDS and can't thank you enough for your generosity.
We had a brilliant time and feel delighted at our achievements. We endured all sorts of weather; sunshine, thick fog, torrential rain and biting winds! A split wheel rim (luckily within two miles of a bike shop) and only one puncture, some lovely people, some very early nights, gallons of water, aching thighs and hundreds of swallowed flies, we did it!!
On 28th May we (me and my friend Linda on the left) set off and cycled the C2C over four days from Whitehaven on the west coast of England, to Sunderland on the east coast. The C2C is a gruelling 140 mile bike ride through the Lake District and over the Pennines. (Or a 150 mile bike ride if you take a wrong turn as we did!).
