Mission Rabies began in 2013 with one aim: to eliminate rabies.
Working in the world's hot spots, Mission Rabies run mass vaccination campaigns and education programmes to stop the spread of rabies. Although this deadly disease is vaccine preventable, around 59,000 still die of rabies each year. The majority of these people are children.
As dog bites are the main cause of rabies deaths, vaccinating dogs stops rabies at the source. By educating children and communities more people know how to protect themselves.
This World Rabies day my aim is to help them in their mission. My aim in so raise as much money as possible so please dig deep and help in the fight against rabies!
