50 miles in 50 hours...

...to celebrate being 50...

...and in memory of my lovely sister Christine

... me and my mate Karen are going to try and walk 50 miles in 50 hours (we must be mad!!!).

And in the process we'll be raising funds for amyloidosis research at the “UCL Amyloidosis Research Fund”, part of the National Amyloidosis Centre at UCL. Find out more about this terrible disease and the wonderful work they are doing at UCL at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/medicine/amyloidosis.

We'll be walking on the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath between Bishops Cannings and Bath (so its a 'carbon-neutral' gig as well!!). Why not come along and cheer us on? We'll be doing it on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June 2011.
