In a moment of madness I have decided to sign up for the Manchester 10k Run which is taking place on Sunday May 20th 2012 with my friend Liz from work. At the moment we are running 3 times a week and my aim is to be at 5k by the end of February and then 10k by the end of March which leaves April and half of May to improve on time etc. It is a challenge as I am not a 'runner' and have never done anything like this before. However it is a good way to keep fit, lose some weight and most importantly I am going to try to raise some money for the Christie charity which as you all know is very close to me and my family's heart. It is a wonderful place, doing some remarkable things with amazing staff helping people both young and old. If you can help in anyway it will be greatly appreciated by all those people who are being looked after by the Christie.
