Story
I work for Surecare in Scarborough and helped look after a man who had used our company for roughly 17 years before he passed away on Boxing Day 2017. He had quite a few health problems and was born with Cerebral Palsy but Never let this stop him living as full a life as possible. He put others first, loved his Family so much and never complained about his own health problems. I was lucky enough to be one of his Carers for a number of years, getting to know Duncan and his Family quite well. He had a passion for Cricket and Football, amonst other things, and was fiercely loyal to Kent CC and Liverpool FC. He was so positive and pleased to see you when you walked in, that it was a pleasure to help him with the things he required. He had been helped in his younger days by Scope to be able to live as Independently as possible in his own home, and as a thankyou to Scope and to The Memory of Duncan, I am running the Great North Run 2018 to raise money for such a worthy cause. I will never forget "My Good Friend" Duncan Grant
