London Marathon 2018 · 22 April 2018 ·

On 22 April 2018, Royal Museums Greenwich is proud to have 5 dedicated runners take part in the Virgin Money London Marathon in support of the world's sole surviving historic tea clipper - Cutty Sark.

Story

I am proud to be running the London Marathon for Royal Museums Greenwich. It is such a special place to me, my family and many other people around the world who visit the Museums to experience the exciting combination of art, science, sea, stars and adventure.  Lucy, my wife, has worked at the Museums for almost 20 years and her love of and commitment to RMG has rubbed off on me!

Raising money for the Cutty Sark, in particular, is vital to secure the future of this only surviving ship of her kind as she approaches her 150th anniversary in 2019. I am delighted to be a part of this milestone and hope that you will join me by showing support for me and for this world famous Greenwich icon.
