The sponsored walk thats good for the sole. This May walk 250,000 steps and do something 'steptacular' for people with sight loss. Your socks. Your steps. Your adventure!

Story

I am taking this sponsored stroll in order to help those with sight loss. The sponsored walk will aid my fitness and wellbeing as well as being good for the sole! All big adventures start with one small step and a cracking pair of socks. I will be counting the steps daily throughout May along with our two labradors Luther & Jet. We will hopefully help to make a difference to the life of someone with sight loss. My 'nan' suffered sight loss in her early fifties, so this walk is also in her memory. I also sponsor a 'Guide Dog' Puppy having sponsored 'Hope' last year who is now happily working doing her duty. I currently sponsor another puppy'Pudding' who is in training and doing very well.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
