Pat and I are walking to raise money in memory of Pat's mum who had dementia.  Pat's mum was a lively and funny lady and these qualities were lost in her later years with the onset of Alzheimer's; it also  robbed her of the chance to meet her two great grandchildren.  My grandmother also had Alzheimer's, so we are walking to remember these two ladies and support other victims of this disease.
