Fundraising for The Lily Foundation
Story
Many of you will be aware of my 10k fundraising runs for The Lily Foundation over the last few years. Having now turned sixty, I've decided to up the challenge and attempt my first half marathon. Daunting! 
It will be by far my longest distance. But this is a charity extremely close to my heart. Lily, who died at the tragically young age of 8 months, would have gone to school with my younger daughter - who's now 17 and at college.

The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today.Did you know every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16!
