Story
Thank you for your time in reading this.
The lovely little beauty above is my 3 year old next door neighbour Rosie. She is currently in GOSH, going through the trials and tribulations of recently having had a Berlin heart fitted. She will stay there until she is lucky enough to receive a gift of new heart.
I have a simple question for you all. If under the same unfortunate circumstances would you accept another human's heart (or any other organ) for yourself or a member of your family? If yes, then, if you haven't already, you need to sign yourself up and every member of your family (kids too) to register asap. I, the family next door appreciate that this is not a quick fix for their brave 'stinky' Rosie but making something positive out of the situation may help for others in the future - maybe you.
Please also consider organ donation: www.organdonation.nhs.uk and remember to talk to your loved ones about your wishes with regard to organ donation.
