In 2016 Ruth came into my life ...and after falling head over heals in love we married in 2018 and are so happy together, she is truly an amazing person.

To look at Ruth on the surface one sees this happy go lucky person with everything going for her...a brilliant job as a maths teacher changing the lives of the pupils around her , a beautiful home, a loving family and of course a doting husband!



But Ruth has M.E and fibromyalgia, an illness that effects her every day life as she is in constant pain. It is only her desire to to live her life to the fullest that gets her through her day and I am in constant awe of this amazing woman .

She is always challenging herself and soon she will be off to Uganda to teach teachers in rural Uganda who have limited resources and is fund raising for that on go-fund-me



Over the years M.E has had many names from yuppy flu in the 80's to chronic fatigue syndrome. Whatever it is called it is a cruel disease as it slowly robs sufferers of their ability to do every day tasks and causes immeasurable pain.



For many years I have wanted to take part in the Great North Run and now I have the incentive to do just that. I will be raising money for Action for M.E, to bring about more research and awareness of this illness...and I know my desire and stubbornness coupled with the challenge of running with a false knee will get me through this half marathon.



I am looking for all the support and funds that I can get.
