I've created this page in memory of my Dad, Drew Cifelli, who passed away on Sunday 26th April this year after battling mixed dementia (Alzheimer's + vascular dementia).

It is such a cruel disease, which robbed by Dad of his memories and his independence, and took much of the person we knew and loved away from us. A diagnosis of dementia is the start of a tough time, not just for the person, but also for their family  - and we were lucky to have strong support from the team at Alzheimer's Scotland following his diagnosis and eventual admission to hospital and finally a care home. An assigned link worker helped with so many things in the early stages and made the transition into care easier to deal with. Families need this kind of support and so I would like to ask you to help give something back.
