I have set this page up on behalf of my stepdad David Chambers who is 78 years old, who on the 8TH May will set out with his friend David Patterson who is 77 years old to walk the 192 miles of the Wainwrights' coast to coast path!!

This is no easy task for anyone and they aim to complete the task in 13 days.

They are raising money for Mesothelioma UK which helps people who have contracted illness through contact with asbestos!!

its something close to David's heart as his older brother Ron died 4 years ago because of  this and more recently David best friend of 45 years Tony Kennedy has recently been diagnosed with a form of cancer due to contact with asbestos.

Davids not a man to stand about and do nothing so he and his friend from Rochdale Walking club David Patterson decided to attempt to complete the 192m challenge.
