We support York & Scarborough Hospitals to make a positive difference

Story

In March of this year our Mum suffered a severe haemorrhagic stroke resulting in her having life saving surgery. The York hospital care staff, occupational health team, physiotherapists and speech therapists have been excellent in providing her with the necessary care and rehabilitation therapy to aid in her recovery. Mum has now been discharged from hospital into respite care but will continue to need daily therapy and care as her rehabilitation continues. We have decided to run the York 10K with our Dad to raise money for the York Teaching Hospital  Charity and specifically Wards 36 and 39 who have cared for our mother and so many other patients in such a compassionate and dedicated manner.

With your support, York Teaching Hospital Charity is making a real difference in our local hospitals- making patients, relatives and visitors feel better and providing a level of care that is beyond that which NHS funding alone could deliver.Patients receiving treatment now and in the future at York Hospital, Scarborough Hospital, Malton Hospital, Bridlington Hospital, New Selby War Memorial Hospital, St Helens & White Cross Court Rehabilitation Hospitals and St Monica’s in Easingwold will all benefit from money raised. Thank you .
