We foster and fund research to improve lives for people with nystagmus.

Story

In 2015 my gorgeous daughter, Mark's goddaughter Eliza was born. At 8 weeks old she was struggling to fix and focus her eyes so we were referred to Great Ormand Street. Following tests, we were given the news she had a condition called Nystamus. Nystagmus causes eyes to flicker and involuntary move or wobble. This makes it difficult to focus and things can appear blurred. Unfortunately there currently isn’t a cure and glasses are not able to correct her vision . As you can imagine we were shocked and sad to receive this diagnosis and were pointed to the Nystagmus Network for support. 3 years, on Eliza is doing fantastically and doesn’t let her ‘wobble’ hold her back. The Nystagmus Network has been a great resource to help us understand more about the condition, especially in the very early days. It has also meant we have a network of parents and children in the same boat, who you can turn to for support or share a funny story or two. Most importantly they help with vital research into the condition, as well as treatments.

Running this half marathon means we can give something back to the Nystagmus Network and keep the all important research going.

Anything you can donate is much appreciated!

With love
