This is my 5th year of being involved with the UK Charity All-Stars, playing hockey and raising money for great charities. Following 3 years raising money for Blue Cross and 1 year for Breast Cancer Care, this year I am raising money for the British Heart Foundation. I chose this charity because in September 2017, I lost my dad Dave to a heart attack caused by Coronary Heart Disease. At the time, he was playing hockey with me while joining in in a training session with my team, the Sheffield Knights. It was a horrible and traumatic experience for myself, my mum and my team mates.

I am also hoping to raise awareness as there were no known symptoms or complaints from my dad of this disease. He also hadn't been to the doctors since 2013. If you are reading this and you think something is wrong with your health, please visit your GP regularly or seek advice, it could save your life.

I hope nobody else has to go through such a traumatic experience especially at a young age. Please donate anything you can to this fantastic charity. Thank you.
