I will be running the London Landmarks half marathon on the 25th March 2018. I'm running solo (always hard when doing it on your own) but I'm doing this for my amazing niece Nancy Marler. She has been under the care of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Nancy suffers from Juvenile Arthritis. I did'nt even know a child could have arthritis. Nancy last October (2016) started limping and was turned away from 2 hospitals as they did not know what was wrong with her. This went on for nearly 4 months until one day a dr (at a private hospital appointment) realised what it was and referred her to GOSH. Since Oct she has had more than 36 appointments and she can now jump on the spot. Nancy 10 months ago could not walk it left her in pain and she was a very poorly little girl. I saw her only yesterday and we were doing her penguin feet exercise whilst out shopping. Throughout the whole of this Nancy has been so brave and just amazing. She has had scans, steroid injections, physio appointments, ultra sounds and has to learn to walk again near enough. So I'm going to raise money for GOSH and also I want to raise awareness for Juvenile Arthritis as more people need to be aware that children as young as 2 can suffer from this and it really is a nasty illness if undetected.
See you on the finish line Nancy Noo Noo's xxx
