Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving website..Gert always was available to help both family and friends and in his memory we wanted to continue this. Rather than having flowers at the funeral we all wanted to do something to help those who have the misfortune of being diagnosed with the same cancer as Gert. Pancreatic cancer is rare and there has been very little progress in its treatment over the years, with survival rates the same as they were 40 years ago. If this contributes to our knowledge and enables just one person surviving a little longer, or beating the cancer, this would have helped to make our loss much more bearable. Thank you.
