Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Why am I doing this challenge?  Good question!

After being together for 20 (wonderful) years, Nigel and I have decided to get married!  We wanted to do something different for our honeymoon.  We don't do 'standard' holidays and I've been talking about climbing Kilimanjaro for a long time.  So it's time to put my money (and yours I hope) where my mouth is.

Amnesty International has been in existance for 50 years.  Its members are ordinary people from across the world standing up for humanity and human rights. Our motivation is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.

Over its 50 years, Amnesty has achieved many things.  Each time I go to the AGM I hear first hand from people and groups that have seen their human rights improve because of what Amnesty has done for them.  The money I raise will make a real difference to people around the world - for example WOZA, a women's humans rights organisation in Zimbabwe and Filep Karma, a prisoner of conscience in Indonesia.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
