Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
2008 is a year I want to forget, I was diagnosed with breast cancer last March. Chemotherapy , radiotherapy plus surgery twice was hell on earth UNTIL I adpoted Tiny from Tia Greyhound and Lurcher rescue.
Tiny was having a hell of year too!!! Too small or slow to race she was not vaccinated and was ill with parvo virus for several months. Deb from Tia dedicated so much time and money to save Tiny, the decision to put her to sleep was almost made several times but her eyes never gave in.
I saw Tiny at Tia rescue in May 2008 recovering from this unnessarry suffering (it would have only cost £15 for her vaccination!) she was emaciated and in a pitiful state but her eyes were captivating so beautiful and full of hope and love. She chose me ,we had some healing to do together! She saved my life and was my rock throughout my treartment, she was also so ill we slept for hours together and went on very slow walks and not too far.
Tiny is recovered and very well now and I am not far behind her. I would like to raise £4000 to repay Tia for the wonderful gift they have given me. I am 50 this year and have asked all my friends and relatives to join me (and Tiny) on a sponsored walk to raise funds for Tia. I have also asked for donations to Tia rather than presents.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Tia Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
