I’m taking on 31 Miles in August 2026 to support Diabetes UK and help raise vital funds for this important cause. You may or may not be aware that when Aimee was away traveling she became very seriously ill, she ended up coming home early, as soon as she landed we took her straight to hospital, turns out she has Type 1 Diabetes and was in DKA which is a life threatening condition and needed urgent treatment. We were so close to losing her! Diabetes is not something that is in our family so didn’t expect it! As soon as they realised the issue and the hospital got her on an insulin and sodium drip to clean her blood.

She is now insulin dependant and doing amazing learning her new way of life. Diabetes will not stop her and especially with all the new treatments available. Nowadays this isn’t life limiting like it used to be!
