It costs Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter a staggering £46,895.30 a year to heat their Benton Rehoming Centre and Claremont Road Arrivals Centre. They currently have 181 homes for the animals in their care between the two sites meaning each home costs £259.09 a year to heat.
