Archie’s 100 miles · 7 May 2021

Derian House Children's Hospice provides specialist care and respite to children and young people with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions. We cover the South of Cumbria, the entire of Lancashire and the North of Manchester. To provide our services in 2024 the cost to us stands at over £6m.

Story

Archie has always enjoyed running around and being outdoors- but he recently decided he wanted to set himself a challenge of running 100 miles. Every night, whatever the weather, Archie and Daddy set off running 1 or 2 miles and he ticks them off on his chart.

When we talked about fundraising, Archie said he would like to try to help other boys and girls- so we agreed that Derian House Hospice seemed the perfect charity to support. They do incredible work, offering provide respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 children and young people across the North West, and support for families also. We cannot think of a better reason to run in the pouring rain for 100days!
