Story
My employer, GSK, has partnered with Save the Children 5 years ago, striving to reduce child mortality, and since have together reached over 2.8 million children in 45 countries. This partnership will continue for at least 5 more years, and as part of it, GSK is arranging a trek in Ethiopia and an associated fundraiser. A previous trek, in Kenya, helped raise over 273,000 GBP. I am one of the lucky GSK employees who were selected to climb Ras Dashen, in the Simien mountain range in Ethiopia, to help raise funds that will be used to ensure the continued work of Save the Children.
Save the Children has made great strides in Ethiopia over the past few decades, but achievements may now be compromised because of the worst drought in 50 years. The money you donate here will be matched, dollar for dollar, by GSK. Your money will be sent directly to Save the Children and will be used to provide disaster relief, food, medicines, vaccination - and will give many children more than just a chance to live; it will give them hope for a better life.
