Story
Last year I swore I would never do anything that horrendously difficult again when I crossed the ODM#4 finish line after 6 stages of nausea inducing endless slog through miles and miles of enormous sand dunes. I few months later I decided I should try it again and see if I could do it better in ODM #5. My training plan involved lots of preparation in the Wahiba but that went down the drain when I decided to spend most of the autumn at the WVS International Training Centre in Chiang Mai, Thailand (no sand in the Thai hill country!) I also planned to keep this quiet and just do it for myself, but having seen now first hand how awesome the WVS team are here in Chiang Mai I am want to do more than just support them as a vet volunteer, so please donate generously and I will endeavor to do my bit by putting one foot in front of the other for all 165km of ODM#5.
WVS offers a lifeline to animals across the globe, supplying them with teams of vets, medicine, and equipment. They run their own projects, as well as providing emergency aid in times of need. WVS also has three International Training Centres based in India and Thailand, committed to the practical training of international vets and vet students. At the moment WVS are supporting over 1000 charities in more than 100 countries.WVS believe in a united profession championing animal welfare. Why? Because every animal matters.
